This project, developed by Prism Youth Project, based at Prism City Farm, aims to provide 12 to 21-year-olds with opportunities to engage in horticultural and other farm and animal-based activities. By facilitating these types of activities (or what is known as ‘ecotherapy' - green exercise and other learning activities) improvements are made around the young people's wellbeing and mental health.
Project context
Carnegie Weight Management (CWM) concentrates on a new service commissioned by NHS Peterborough as part of its response to increases in childhood obesity. The city currently has one of the highest childhood obesity rates for Year 6 children.
In Cumbria, integrated care consortia have had “hard” budgets distributed to six localities since April. There are six GP consortia or localities, each covering roughly 100,000 residents, aligned with District Council boundaries.
