The LGA Independent Group has three dedicated members of staff. The staff work as a team and collectively deliver on the work from the LGA and the priorities of the Group.

Abigail has overarching responsibility for the LGA Independent Group Office within the LGA. She is a member of the LGA’s Corporate Leadership Team. Abigail has a background in policy and takes responsibility for the Group’s policy positioning and work with the policy boards.
Political Adviser

Lioko provides political advice and support to the Independent Group’s leadership and members, helping to shape the Group’s policy and strategic positioning. He leads on member engagement, manages the Be A Councillor programme, and coordinates the Group’s contributions across LGA boards and key policy areas.
Political Assistant
Noleen Rosen

Noleen’s areas of responsibility include the peer support programme; policy board Think Tanks, events management, data management, finance management and website management. Noleen also supports the Group’s work on refugees and asylum.
