Impact is a fast-track graduate programme for bright and passionate individuals who want to make a difference while excelling in their own careers, matching them with councils across the country.
Local councils are looking for the next generation of managers to lead critical projects and services that have tangible, everyday outcomes for people's lives. Impact: The Local Government Graduate Programme seeks to match bright, passionate graduates with councils where they can deliver key projects and amazing value for money.

Final council interviews are allocated depending on candidates’ preferences and the availability of interview dates and spaces.
Some Impact partner councils wish to employ graduates with a local connection to their authority area. Candidates that meet additional criteria set by the authorities and pass the assessment centre stage will be guaranteed an interview with the respective council.
