LG Inform Adult Social Care themed reports
A number of adult social care themed reports are available to view by council area.
To help councils in identifying the information that they would find most helpful for adult social care we have pulled out a selection of the data sources most relevant. These can be viewed directly in LG Inform, included in reports of extracted and used in councils' own data systems. Care and Health Metrics in LG Inform (opens as an Excel file).
Other PCH online data tools
Care Market Review: This online tool provides current details of all registered adult social care providers in England. Drawing on the latest data available from CQC this easy-to-use resource displays residential and domiciliary care locations on a map and in list format, providing quick and easy access to a range of information about each location including quality, size, and parent company and brand details. All details are also available for download. The tool includes the Unique property reference Number (UPRN) and CQC location ID of each social care location so it can be linked to other records. Authorised adult social care staff can sign in for additional information shown by other LGA tools, including the latest COVID-19 provider data.
Continuing Healthcare Dashboard Tool (CHC): This is an Excel dashboard, updated quarterly, that looks at activity of NHS Continuing Healthcare (CHC) and NHS-funded Nursing Care (FNC) in England. Categories of activity covered are eligibility, referrals, conversion rates, local resolutions and decision support tools.
Hospital discharges dashboard: Available on LG Inform Plus, this dashboard was designed to support councils in reviewing the trust-based data that is published by NHSE on discharges from hospital. The prototype tool has been developed to make it easy for councils to view the data published (by NHSE) about discharge delays and pathways in a more accessible and visual format. In particular it enables a time series view of the metrics and some scope for comparison between areas.
Adult social care infographic toolkit: This was designed as an adaptable report for audiences that are less engaged with data and LG Inform reports. Based on feedback from councils we are now trialling a more dynamic adult social care infographic toolkit underpinned by an ‘updateable’ extract from LG Inform. Councils can adjust the data selection to use locally.
