This webpage is aimed at project leads for projects funded by the Land Release Fund, or Brownfield Land Release Fund, as well as OPE Partnership Managers.
All projects funded by the Brownfield Land Release Fund are required to provide regular progress updates. This is a mandatory condition of funding, as outlined in the Grant Funding Agreement.
Since July 2025, reporting has been managed through a secure online portal.
Towards the end of each quarter, named project leads will receive an email inviting you to log in and submit your update.
Below is some detailed guidance to help you navigate the portal and submit project progress updates.
Please also let us know immediately if the named project lead changes, so we can ensure reports are directed to the correct person.
Providing your project progress update
From 2026-27, we will require quarterly progress reports:
If your project has not yet released land: You’ll receive a link to provide a progress report approximately two weeks before the end of each quarter.
Once land release has been confirmed: You’ll only be required to provide a project progress report twice a year; in Quarter 2 (covering July-September) and Quarter 4 (covering January to March).
Once housing development has commenced, and is reflected in your progress report, projects will then only be asked to report once a year, at the end of the financial year, as we recognise that housing development takes time.

- Project reports issued 15 June 2026
- Deadline for return: 3 July 2026
Q2 reporting period- July to September 2026
- Project reports issued on 21 September 2026
- Deadline for return: 9 October 2026
Q3 reporting period October to December 2026
- Project reports issued 14 December 2026
- Deadline for return: 11 January 2027
