Each year, the Local Government Association (LGA) invites a representative sample of our members to share their views on how we are doing in our role as the national voice of local government. Your feedback is vital in helping us understand what’s working well, where we can improve, and how we can best support councils across England.

To ensure the research is fully independent, we have commissioned M·E·L Research, an external research organisation, to carry out this survey of councillors and officers between early November and late-December. If selected, you may receive an email invitation or a call from a member of the M·E·L Research team. Please look out for an email titled ‘Can you take a few minutes to share your views on the Local Government Association?’.
The survey should take around 15 minutes to complete. Your responses will remain strictly confidential. Identifiable information about you or your council will not be shared with the LGA, and results will only be reported in summary form.
