Dear colleagues,
- We are pleased to confirm that the Fire Brigades Union has agreed the 2025 pay offer, following a consultation of members. This means that formal agreement through the NJC will now take place.
- The NJC Joint Secretaries will ensure the pay circular is issued as soon as possible. This will confirm the revised rates of pay (including CPD payments), which will increase by 3.2 per cent with effect from 1 July 2025.
- We will also seek to include the revised wording on Grey Book notice periods.
- Discussions around 'Gold Book' pay have not yet concluded but we hope to be able to provide an update shortly.
- Colleagues may be aware that the National Employers for the NJC for Local Government Services, which affects 'Green Book' pay, have also made a full and final offer of 3.2 per cent from 1 April 2025, which has not been agreed. We will keep services updated.
Yours sincerely,
Sarah Ward
