Care Quality Commission assessments for adult social care: Must know guide for chief executives

Adult social care in all councils in England will be assessed by Care Quality Commission (CQC) before the end of 2025. This is the first such review for 15 years and is intended as an opportunity to celebrate the good work being done and how councils are addressing areas that they wish to improve. A similar CQC assurance process for Integrated Care Systems is being piloted currently and reviews of them all will also be completed by December 2025.

Second national analysis of Safeguarding Adult Reviews: April 2019 - March 2023

The purpose of the analysis was to identify priorities for sector-led improvement as a result of learning from SARs completed between 2019 and 2023, a period of time that included the COVID-19 pandemic. The analysis builds on the findings of the first national analysis, published in 2020, which considered learning from SARs completed between 2017 and 2019.
