Supporting HR services: LGA partnership with CIPD

The People Impact Tool offers a straightforward and efficient 360 survey of a council’s HR People service.


Over the past three years, the LGA has worked in partnership with the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) to help councils to review and analyse their approach to effective people management using the CIPD’s People Impact Tool. 

The People Impact Tool offers a straightforward and efficient 360 survey of a council’s HR People service. Councils receive a report which provides detailed insight into how their people function is perceived to be performing based on feedback from the HR team themselves as well as a variety of key stakeholders from across the council, including front-line staff, managers, trade unions, and service users.
