These essential guidance notes have been developed by the LGA to provide practical advice and guidance on financial issues that local authorities should consider throughout the LGR implementation phase.
The guides are aimed at non-finance professionals, such as elected members and Chief Executives, but may also be useful to Chief Financial Officers and their teams. The notes have been developed in discussion with CIPFA but are not intended to provide detailed technical finance advice.
The LGA and CIPFA will continue to work in partnership, as part of a wider sector support group, to deliver financial support and advice to the sector throughout the LGR process.
