Improve working relationships and ensure alignment of neighbourhood plans and the Local Plan

This report was written in 2016/17 and provides the context of the project, the indicators for measuring success, an outline of what the Council did and the outcomes of this. It also includes important lessons learnt and the next steps they were planning to take.

The project was aimed at improving working relationships and ensuring alignment of emerging Neighbourhood Plans with the emerging Local Plan. It was divided into three parts:

1. Creation of a neighbourhood planning skills hub.
2. Establishment of a Local Plan/Neighbourhood Plan Enabler.
3. Implementation of a planning process system to align the Local Plan and Neighbourhood Plans.
