Digital planning is a key programme within Government's planning reform agenda and PAS has been working with a range of stakeholders to look at the development of digital tools to assist all aspects of the plan-making and decision-making process.
Chapter 3 of the Government’s consultation on implementing planning reform, discusses the ambition to bring planning and plan making into the digital age. It seeks to transform how things are done for the better; to provide faster, simpler, more accessible plans and policies to deliver better outcomes, informed by up-to-date data and shaped more actively by communities and other stakeholders.
Digital Planning is a dedicated government programme within the UK Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG), working to modernise England’s planning system.
